When I saw this woman, it was a busy autumn day and toute le monde was rushing back and forth across Rue de Metz. She was sitting outside the Starbucks on the corner, enjoying the sun or waiting for someone, or maybe both. She struck me as so beautiful in that moment, I actually turned around and asked for her picture to paint later.
