I’ve always been the person at dinner who takes the conversation there, never shying away from dissecting a tender subject right at the table. In my work, I’m no different; as a writer, musician, model, and visual artist, I’m always cracking open that lil bean pod of queerness, grief, sex, the environment, and chronic illness to check what’s inside.

My B.S.W. in Social Work informs just about everything my art cooks up; one eye’s always trained on radical inclusivity and vulnerability, whether I’m writing my novel on the Lavender Scare or chatting with the person at my elbow in a karaoke bar.

Growing up in the south gave birth to a dark twist of humor that lets me lap up heavy topics like peach juice from my wrists. Those southern roots have carried me from Moscow to PDX and just about everywhere in between; just ask me about my season as a sub-par blueberry farmer in rural Maine and the years I spent slinging sushi in Tallahassee.

Now, I’m living cozy in Toulouse, France. I’m currently working on my novel, my screenplay about arson and ghosts in 1990s Moscow, Snail Mail Sweethearts - and whatever the heck else my brain cooks up.
